SABAH.angels Members Invested AZN 500,000 in Azerbaijani Startup Clopos

Members of SABAH.angels invested AZN 500,000 in Clopos Inc., a technology company founded by Azerbaijani entrepreneurs. Led by SABAH.angels CEO Alya Abbaszade, the investment marked the club’s fifth investment and its first in a locally founded startup.
Established in 2023, SABAH.angels brought together more than 180 angel investors and focused on connecting early-stage technology startups with investment opportunities. The club supported the evaluation of promising companies and facilitated investment processes through its network of experienced investors.
Founded in 2018, Clopos provided cloud-based POS and business management solutions for restaurants, cafés and other food service businesses. Its platform enabled businesses to manage sales, payments, inventory, finances and daily operations through a unified system. At the time of the investment, the company served more than 4,500 active customers across over 13 countries, with its headquarters in New York and research and development centre in Baku.
The investment represented an important milestone for SABAH.angels in supporting locally founded technology companies and connecting them with investors. As part of SABAH.city’s innovation ecosystem, the club contributed to expanding access to capital and strengthening entrepreneurship and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan.
