As part of the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture,” SOCAR is implementing the “Smart Urbanization Capstone Program,” an initiative aimed at promoting the sustainable development of urban environments and encouraging innovative approaches. The project addresses pressing challenges arising from the growing proximity of urban centers and industrial facilities as industrial sectors develop and urbanization expands. The program aims to empower young people to develop innovative solutions in this field, contribute to balanced urban planning, and support environmental sustainability.
